After a month of you being the reason I fell asleep with a smile on my face,
I woke up to your message, and the words I read, were some of the harshest things a boy has ever said

you told me it was nice while it lasted, but all things have to come to an end, and with that being said
can we just be friends?

as the tears fell from my face, and I hid my head in shame, I whispered....


don't tell me something that sounds like it belongs on a movie,
and please don't say anything that's cliche,
nothing trite, and let's not fight... I like you too much, to hurt you, the way you've hurt me.
I know that you think, you've done what's right, but saying that we'll still be friends, is never right
we both know, it's just you being nice, and it's only short for
"I'm through with you"

now it's awhile later, and I was so right, you've forgotten I exist, and I couldn't make you remember, even if I tried, our friendship has been jaded, my heart has been raided, and I'm so lonely, sad and wondering why, this is happening, what exactly I did. And please remind me, where the part where "we'll be friends " comes in. I'm still saying.....
